For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Off to a great start (Alli update 10-18-2008)

This day is off to a great start. Breakfast was smooth. Saturday morning cleanup is under way and Bug hasn't had her feelings hurt at all today. But any minute now Alli's going to wake up, and we'll need your prayers for grouchiness, headaches, constant mind-changing, accidental feeling hurting, and mess control! HAHAHAHA! Sorry, but we've got to keep it light around here!
No really though, things have been getting better every day.
I thought I'd share a few pictures along this difficult path we've been on:
This was 2 days after the accident at the Children's Hospital

This was 3 days after the accident w/ Daddy & Mommy
This was 4 days after the accident. Getting ready to go home!
And here's our sweets at home last night.
So how is everyone else? Well, Bug has regained her silliness:

See?
And the older two?
Well, they're exhausted!
Thanks again for all your prayers! Please continue to pray for us physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, and for time management.
Oh! By the way, those of you following the ginhouse project:
The dormers are finished, painted and stunning. I'll try to get a pic today or tomorrow for you. Remember all of those still working on the ginhouse.

When it rains it pours...

I am so very happy to report that the upstairs insulation is done and ready for sheet rock! I wish I had said that 2 months ago, but praise God that much is done. Progress had slowed a lot in the last months. It's usually just the hubby and I, but God is there with us and He will see us through to completion.

A few days back we had a bit of a ruchas over at the ginhouse. Then we remembered, we'd heard that sound before in the days of our youth...yes, that was thunder...and rain to boot! We had a washout praise God, but not so fortunate, was the porta-potty!

This was shortly after it happened. If you look closely, the image caught the raindrops falling. It was dark, so that explains the photo lighting. Thankfully, Pa had just finshed up and headed out of there for the barn before the blow over! J/K That's one shower you wouldn't want!

Itchy, Itchy!

For over a year now, we've been buiding "the ginhouse", and we are exhausted. Still not finished, but thoroughly exhausted.

We're finishing up the insulation

and will hopefully start sheetrock soon.
Anyone have advise on speeding the process up?
